Two more photos of bunyips have arrived today! Have a look on the Bunyip Gallery.
In the next day or so the ‘composite’ photos will be created with the images we have.
You have all done the most amazing work!
Wow! The bunyips look amazing. There are more images to come. I have been battling with technology today!

Hello Bunyippers!
I think I can see bunyips on your walls, or nearly see them in some cases. I am so excited.
Thankyou for all the hard work you have put in. Imagining. Measuring. Writing. Reading and communicating.
The last task is to e-mail me a photo of your bunyip. Please remember to do this in the next week or two so I can make the digital composites and get the gallery up for us all to share and celebrate our wonderful work.
What a buzz of activity as you all build, read, think, and question.
Ask lots of questions, and post messages regularly in your forum threads so the other bunyip builders you are working with know you are working on the bunyip.
Periods of quiet (no posts on a forum board) often mean lots of making is going on, but for the group who has posted the instructions no questions or posts can feel like no one is listening to, or trying to build the bunyip part from their bunyip instructions. The children who have posted instructions wait excitedly for any responses.Even a post saying, “We’re going well for now.” is a great habit to get into.
Keep in touch with your bunyip builders.
The descriptions (Or sections of them) are great texts to use in reciprocal or guided reading. The description writing is great as a modelled writing experience as is the fomulation of questions.
Keeping in touch regularly means you can decide between you if you need to rejig the timeline due to the events which crop up at school like athletics carnivals, performances etc… The timeline is not set in stone.
Keep up the great work everyone! The bunyips are looking just fabulous.
Wow! Things are certainly getting very busy. I can tell there has been a great deal of reading, imagining, creating, writing and typing.
When posting a body part description for your bunyip group, post it into your bunyip’s forum. The link is on the left of this page. The link is something like – (Gilbert Bunyip, Gr 4-6, Trio Bunyip). Log in and then ….
Click on the link to your forum (On the left hand side of the home page) When you are in the forum there will be topics listed. The topics will be something like – Bunyips billabong, Hed & Neck, Torso ….
Click on the topic you are working on eg. head and neck. When you are in the forum topic ( or thread as it is often called) Scroll down.
If you are ‘posting’ a description click on post reply and type your description in. Or (and this is what I would do) copy and paste it from a word document into the ‘New Post’ box and submit it.
If any of your group has questions about the body part this is what you do – log in to the bunyip blog.
Click into your bunyip’s forum.
Click into the topic.
Scroll down the forum page and type your answer or questions into the ‘new post’ box.
Sometimes your work won’t appear straight away because I will check it before it goes ‘live’ on the website. This is an internet safety practice.
I am so thrilled with all your hard work. Keep it up.
Richmond Bunyip Builders I have pasted your brilliant description into the forum for Gilbert Bunyip. The link is on the left. I can’t wait to see the photos of your bunyip later on when we’ve finished all the building. Keep up the fabulous work all of you!
Well done! Bye for now.
Hi Looking forward to this exciting learning experience, as are our students.
